Grindtown is a city full of people starting out. Everyone should be able to graft, chill and build something here without being made to feel small. So:
Be decent
- No bullying or harassment. Banter's fine; going after someone, piling on, or carrying on after they've asked you to stop isn't.
- No hate. No racism, slurs, or attacks on anyone for their race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or where they're from. This includes names, business names and reviews.
- No sexual content, and never anything sexual with or about anyone under 18.
- No threats, and nothing encouraging anyone to hurt themselves or others.
Keep it in the game
- Don't share personal details: yours or anyone else's. No real names, addresses, schools, phone numbers or social media handles.
- Don't ask to meet up, or to move the chat somewhere else.
- No real money. No selling, buying or swapping in-game money, items or accounts for real money or anything outside the game. No begging, and no “send me 50, I'll send 100 back”.
- The crime's only a game. Hustles, the plug and robbing people stay in Grindtown. Using it to sell, buy or arrange anything real (drugs, weapons, stolen goods) gets you banned for good and reported to the police.
Play fair
- No cheating, bots, scripts or using bugs. Found a bug? Report it and you might get something for it.
- One account each. No making accounts to get round a mute or ban, or to report someone over and over.
- Don't pretend to be a moderator or someone from Grindtown.
If something's wrong
- Tap ⚑ next to the player, message or business to report it. Pick “Someone might be at risk” if you're worried about someone's safety: moderators see those first.
- Block anyone you don't want to hear from (Phone → Settings).
- If someone's in danger right now, call 999 in the UK or 911 in the US.
What happens if you break the rules
Depending on how serious it is: what you wrote is removed, you're muted for a day or a week, your business name is taken down, or you're banned for a week or for good. Anything that puts a child at risk means a permanent ban and may be reported to the police.
